Coronavirus disease 2019, also known as COVID-19 is a highly and globally spread infectious disease caused by a severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus 2. The disease was first discovered in the region of Wuhan in China in the fall of 2019 and later spread globally to inflict more than a 150 nations and territories.
Unfortunately, being a novel virus, no vaccine or viable treatment was available at the start of the widespread of the disease. This also caused panic and overwhelmed hospitals and medical clinics all over the world as hospital staff were not ready to deal with this novel disease.
